Leather Care- Hide Hair
To clean your Hide Hair bag, wipe smoothly in the direction of the hair with a damp (not wet) cloth using mild soap and water. Do not soak the hide or get it wet, and do not wash in a washing machine or dry clean. Brushing will help to keep the hair soft and helps to remove dirt.
Leather Care
Dust your bag or keep in a dust bag. Dust absorbs moisture which will eventually dry your leather out. For stains, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For further cleaning, we suggest a leather cleaning conditioner. (Or not, just let that thing go and watch it get better with time).
WAX CANVAS CARE
To clean, wipe the canvas with mild bar soap and a damp cloth. (Or not, just let that thing go and watch it get better with time).
Wax Canvas is an extremely durable fabric that requires minimal care. However, just as you should not wash fabric upholstery or a leather product such as shoes, gloves, or jackets, you should not dry clean or use detergent on your Wax Canvas products. Wax fabrics have been successfully used for many years without washing.
A periodic cleaning with a hose, damp cloth or soft scrub brush for heavy dirt is all that is needed. Sometimes a mild bar or flake soap (not detergent) or even Saddle soap will remove stubborn stains. Wax refinishing ointment left to absorb for a day or so (a hair dryer will speed the process) will restore the wax finish. Iron only on low heat with a thin cloth or craft paper barrier between the fabric and the iron in order to redistribute wax and relax the fabric.
Darker shades are more successful than lighter shades in not showing soiling. To be completely satisfied with the performance of your Wax fabrics, there are several important issues to remember: TRY water first with a slight brushing or scrubbing. USE a little bar soap or flaked soap or Saddle soap, only if necessary, on specific areas only. Sometimes a small amount of ammonia will help. NEVER use detergent, liquid or powdered. NEVER dry clean as the powerful environmentally damaging chlorinated solvents will remove the finish. SPARINGLY apply TexWax wax refinishing ointment and little heat from a hair dryer always helps. Use and enjoy your waxed cotton product. It is rugged and made for active outdoor use. It is weather-tough and made for your next adventure.
Wash those jeans, girl!
The Indigo that is used to create those inky, dark denim jeans that you love, is notorious for bleeding (e.g. transferring off and getting on all your other stuff). Please do not wear against your unwashed dark color denim! It can be really frustrating to find that your very favorite pair of jeans has stained your new MEANWHILE BAG (not to mention, white furniture and even your skin!)

Our rockstar laminated fabric is made to be wipeable. But listen, laminated items are essentially a thin coat of plastic. And plastic has its limits. Keep out of the sun and heat to prevent cracking.
